“Blumarine” is a historic brand for the Italian company, Blufin S.p.A. group.  A penchant for the color blue and the passion for the sea were the inspiration behind the Blumarine label.

Launched in 1977, when Anna Molinari and her husband Gianpaolo Tarabini Castellani decided to set up the company Blumarine in Capri to produce the collections created by the entrprising young designer, the idea was an instant winner and in 1980 the Blumarine label has made its highly successful debut at Modit in Milan.  Blumarine lingerie and swimwear lines were not a lesser success.

The first show in 1981 during the Milan fashion events was also a success and in 1986 Blumarine made a debut at Milano Collezioni with a range of couture pieces. The great consensus led to the further development of the company.

The “Blumarine” brand symbolises Blufin and is its highest manifestation in terms of market positioning and image. The Group’s main line brand represents its core business in terms of sales, with over 800 stores worldwide and 13 licensed brands. Blufin Group other brands are: Blugirl Blumarine and Anna Molinari.
